Christians can't just do everything that the world is doing. We are to be set apart from the things of this world. That doesn't mean we can't have fun still but it does mean we should change our definition of fun. This is one of the biggest challenges for young christians today. But maybe some Bible verses about the dangers of the world and how they explain what Christians should stay clear of will help your youth and even yourself to better understand.

Looking for something fun and exciting to do with your youth to get them excited about going to church? It's good for the youth to have time to fellowship and bond with one another and have good clean fun. Young christians need to have fun together while building lifelong friendships in a place without all the temptations of sin. Monthly or even weekly "fun nights/days" are a great way to keep them coming back for more. Even if you have youth coming to these fun events that don't come to regular services you are still helping them to have good clean fun and gain trust with you and others christians. It just may be what gets them curious about coming to a church service. Here's a few ideas to do with all ages of youth!
Some of you may or may not have heard of the chocolate sauce lesson. It's a demonstration lesson about how just a little bit of sin can spread everywhere and only Jesus can help you wash it all away. It is really a great Sunday school or youth night lesson for all ages and helps them all to be a little more careful about the things that they let into their lives.
Easter is the perfect time to talk to your older youth about the full seriousness of being saved. I thought I'd write something for you to read, or use as a guide, to talk to your students about how important Easter is to everyone. This is just kind of a way to sum up this very important day and give your teens something to think about. God's love is for everyone, He died for all of us, and He wants everyone to be saved. All are welcome to heaven, but they have to leave their sinful habits behind. No sin is too great that God will not forgive, as long as we are truly sorry and ready to give our hearts and lives to God.
Let's find the perfect Valentine's day craft to make with your Sunday school class! I love Valentine crafts, they're so pretty and cheerful. I found these cute crafts on Amazon and thought they would go perfect with a Valentine themed Bible lesson. Let's spread God's love with these adorable church crafts!
Valentine's day will be here before we know it! It's a great time to talk about God's un-ending love for His children. So many youth and adults feel like there is no way God can love them because of things they have done in their lives, but we need to help them to understand that God always loves us even when we do wrong but is willing to forgive us of our sins. Let's see if I can find a few stories from the Bible for you to teach to your youth so they can always look at these examples of God's everlasting love.
I've been seeing a lot of people asking what to get their church youth group kids for Christmas, so I thought it'd be fun to make a list of some ideas that would be great for youth pastors and Sunday school teachers to get for their youth. There's a lot of neat stuff on Amazon for every age so I made a list of some of my top Christmas gift ideas for church kids. I hope you'll find this list useful!
Needing a Sunday school lesson about thankfulness? I'll do my best to give you something you can use this Thanksgiving season. Of course we should be thankful in every season. Hopefully this post can be of help for your Thanksgiving lesson. The goal is to help our youth to realize all the wonderful things God has done for us and that no matter how hard life may seem, God is always giving us something to be thankful for. Here are 5 verse about thankfulness.
Learning the 10 commandments is obviously very important. We should teach our youth the 10 commandments starting at a toddler age. We teach them not to take toys from other kids, we teach them to go to church on Sunday, we teach them to be honest. When they are older we go over the meaning of all the commandment. But how often are we teaching the ten commandments to teens after around the age of 16? It just kind of turns into one of the common stories like Daniel in the lions den or David and Goliath. We tend to not focus on those common lessons as much when our youth gets older but there are some commandments that gain meaning the older we get. It's like, there are more ways now to break the commandment than there was when they were 10 years old. These rules are a very important part of life and we need to be sure our youth understands them fully before they are grown up and on their own in the world. I hope that today I can help you with explaining God's commandments to your youth so they will have a better understanding of how to follow theses laws of God
Fall is quickly approaching! Time to find lessons ideas to fit the upcoming season. Halloween theme Bible lessons will be needed soon. And Thanksgiving will be here before we know it as well! It is great to be prepared ahead of time! You want something fun and creative that will fit the upcoming holidays and keep your youth interested. I'm hoping to come up with something creative for Thanksgiving soon but I figure we could first just work on Halloween and the season of Autumn. Halloween is a fun time to play around with fun costumes (hopefully not demonic, let's have fun the Christian way) and overload on candy and popcorn balls. Maybe, to try and stay in the theme of the holiday, we should focus on our fears in our next class and see what we can do to overcome them after all "God dd not give us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7
